A PRIVATE education centre has become the latest company to open its doors for business in Redditch.
The Kip McGrath Education Centre on Prospect Hill was opened on Saturday (October 6) by Redditch MP Karen Lumley. It provides private tuition at GCSE level in English and maths and science revision, 11+ preparation and A-Level tuition in biology and chemistry.
Javaid Hussain, centre director who has taught in several schools in Birmingham and Solihull as well as being an examiner for the OCR Exam Board, said: "It is a privilege to be involved with the education of young minds and I look forward to providing first class tuition to all our students."
Mrs Lumley added: "Promoting and encouraging local businesses is a priority of mine and I’m really pleased Javaid asked me to open his new venture. I wish him well."
A new luxury, one-stop boutique for babies and children has also opened this week at Longbarn Village near Alcester. The move has created ten new jobs with forecasts for another 20 over the next two years. Angiolotty stocks high end brands for girls aged up to ten and boys aged up to four as well as gift sets, soft toys and accessories.
Owners Mark and Charlotte Sprigg launched the store and online shop www.angiolotty.co.uk after having to source the right nursery furniture and accessories in London for their daughter Florence, who was born in 2010.
"Angiolotty is for people who do not compromise when it comes to quality. As a family-run baby and children's boutique, we promise the same high level of attentive, personal service as any discerning designer store," Mr Sprigg said.
