Hi: 10° Lo:3° 7 day

CONTROVERSIAL plans to build 200 homes in Webheath will not be considered by planners next week after the developers altered their application.
The exact details of how the proposals for the site off Church Road within the Webheath Area of Development Restraint (ADR) have been changed are not yet known as planners at Redditch Borough Council are still waiting for the amended proposals from Barratt Homes and Taylor Wimpey.
But it means the application can no longer be considered at a committee meeting on October 10.
Instead a new round of consultation lasting 21 days will be held once the altered plans have been received and made available to the public to comment on any changes. It will then go to the planning committee at a date to be decided.
On the night Webheath Action Group, which is campaigning against the plans, will get 15 minutes to speak between them, other registered objectors will get the same amount of time as will registered supporters.
Councillors for Webheath will get three minutes each and the developers will get 15 minutes as well as the use of any time not used by supporters of the application.
The amended plans should be available to view online by the end of the week by visiting www.redditchbc.gov.uk/planning and typing in reference number 2012/207/OUT.
