A MAN has been sentenced to three years in prison after burgling a Redditch home.
Arden Holness, of Noel Road, Ladywood, Birmingham, pleaded not guilty to breaking in to the Dewsbury Close home and stealing a quantity of cash and the keys to BMW on April 6 this year.
But the 47-year-old was found guilty by a jury in July and was sentenced to three years in jail at Worcester Crown Court last Wednesday (September 12).
Det Sgt Dean Mowbray from Redditch CID said: "I hope this sentence given out by the court reflects how seriously burglary is viewed and we are committed to bringing offenders to justice.
"Burglary remains a top priority for West Mercia Police and those contemplating breaking into people's businesses and their homes should be warned that we will not hesitate to prosecute offenders."
