Hi: 19° Lo:6° 7 day

A MAN was punched in the head and robbed after he was attacked from behind.
The victim, in his 20s, met two young men on bikes in Matchborough centre who had offered to show him where he could buy some beer, shortly before 2am on Sunday (September 2).
They took the victim to the Budgens store on Battens Drive and then led him into an underpass by the fuel station, where they started talking to two other men who had a brown and white pitbull-type dog with them.
While the victim's back was turned he was attacked from behind, punched to the head, pushed into some bushes and was robbed of his wallet and several cans of beer by the men with the dog.
The robbers then made off towards Winyates before the victim went to the garage to get help after suffering scratches and grazes.
The men were all white and thought to be aged between 17 and 19. One of the men with the dog was tall, slim, had short fair hair and a black tattoo on the right side of his neck.
The men on bikes wore a white baseball cap and the other had curly dark hair and was wearing a grey, knitted cap with a small peak.
Det Con Stacey Keogh of Redditch CID said: "This was a very unpleasant incident. The victim had actually given some drink to one of the men and was then set upon while his back was turned.
"The fact that two of the men had a dog with them and the other two were on bicycles suggests they are all local and people may well recognise them from the descriptions.
"If you saw any of them around there, witnessed any part of the incident or think you know who was responsible then please pick up the phone and help us to arrest these people."
Anyone with any information should contact Redditch CID by calling 101, quoting 112-S-020912 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
