Hi: 14° Lo:3° 7 day

TWO REDDITCH men have been jailed for burgling a house in the town.
Tyler Ellis, of Evesham Mews and Michael Knight, of Lodge Road, entered the house on Chesterton Close through an unsecured patio door on March 2.
The 22-year-olds both pleaded guilty to stealing a Nintendo Wii, a grey jacket, wallet, £80 in cash and two sets of car keys after forensic evidence led to detectives arresting the pair on March 15.
Ellis was sentenced to two and a half years in prison, and Knight was given an 18 month jail sentence at Worcester Crown Court last Wednesday (July 25).
Det Con Robert Cockburn from Redditch CID said: "We are pleased with the custodial sentence handed to Ellis and Knight. I hope it sends a clear message to others involved in this type of crime that we remain ever vigilant and committed to bringing offenders to justice.
"Tackling burglary is a priority for West Mercia Police and we will carry on working as hard as we possibly can to reduce the harm that burglaries cause within our communities."
