A WARM and sunny Stourport-on-Severn was the venue for the British Schools Cycling Association Regional Circuit Race Championships, which brought success for numerous Redditch Road & Path Cycling Club members.
The event consisted of a time trial, scratch race, handicap race and a short uphill sprint and two Redditch schools were represented and both were successful.
Walkwood Middle School had great success as Fraser Salkeld claimed first place to become the U11 regional champion and James Ralph was close behind in second place.
The boys were presented with their medal and certificates by BSCA regional officer Ian Billington, who praised the youngsters on their excellent bike handling skills.
Kingsley College also gained a regional champion as the lads' team-mate Chloe Ralph took first place in the U15 race for the second consecutive year.
