A MAN whose anti-social behaviour has plagued the community has been banned from a Redditch road.
Numerous complaints have been made about Scott George Gibson, of no fixed address, following various incidents of assault, threats, abuse, noise and being a general nuisance on Greystone Close and the surrounding area of Church Hill.
After failing to attend Worcester County Court last Friday (July 20) Gibson was issued with an anti-social behaviour injunction in his absence. The order stops him from visiting Greystone Close as well as restricting Gibson's behaviour. If he breaches it he faces being arrested by police.
Gibson was originally issued with an interim order in March but subsequently breached it, resulting in custodial sentences.
Coun Rebecca Blake, responsible for community safety on Redditch Borough Council which applied for the order, said: "I have spoken to some of the people in Church Hill who suffered some of the worst kinds of anti-social behaviour for far too long and this action demonstrates the commitment from the council and the police to keeping communities safe."
Redditch District Inspector Ian Joseph added: "Mr Gibson has proved difficult to manage in that area and this extension enables us to offer greater protection to the community over a longer period.
"Hopefully it will provide a deterrent to others who should understand our resolve to deal with behaviour and offences of this nature in a similar way in future."
