A DISCOUNT furniture store has joined the fight against cancer by pledging to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Hallowood Furniture, based in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, has agreed to host one of the charity’s collection tins for people to donate to as well as plan other fund-raising through the year.
Area manager Kevin Jones said: “The team at Hallowood Furniture are keen to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause.
“We have chosen Macmillan Cancer Support based on the fantastic work they do in helping people with cancer and those that have been affected directly or indirectly by cancer.
“I think everyone will have known someone who has suffered and Macmillan can help family and friends deal with the difficulties surrounding cancer care.”
