A SAD farewell is in store at Beoley First School as a much-loved teacher retires.

As well as waving goodbye to their Year 4 pupils who will be moving on to middle school at the end of term, teacher Sally Goodman is set to leave the school after nearly two decades.

Mrs Goodman said: "I have been fortunate to have had 18 very enjoyable and fulfilling years at Beoley working with fantastic children and staff. It will be difficult to say goodbye to the Beoley family."

Headteacher Sally Davies said: "We will miss Sally greatly, she has been a wonderful member of staff and I don't really know what we will do without her."
