Hi: 15° Lo:5° 7 day

REDDITCH Swimming Club members represented Worcestershire in victorious fashion when the Abbey Stadium pool hosted the prestigious Three Counties Invitation Gala.
Held in Redditch for the very first time, it was a great chance to let young swimmers from other Worcestershire clubs appreciate the facilities now fully utilised by RSC, including the electronic timing system.
Hosts Worcestershire powered to an impressive victory with 348 points, followed by Staffordshire with 294 points and Gloucestershire with 280 points.
The RSC swimmers qualified to represent Worcestershire by achieving the fastest time in the county this year for their particular events.
Redditch swimmers were girls Rosie Potter, Alice Oliver, Poppy McGourlay, Rachel Weller, Lucy Corden and Sophie Bridgman, whilst the boys were Tom Page, Oliver Thompson, Braiden Hartles and Dan Noke.
Several other RSC swimmers were also selected but could not make team this time.
Rosie, Alice, Poppy, Tom (two) and Oliver all achieved personal bests, which is amazing considering they were already the fastest in the county to qualify for the team.
