CELEBRATIONS were in order for a Redditch Royal Navy Nurse after her promotion to the officer corps.
Lieutenant Anna De-Saint-Bissix-Croix, who joined the Queen Alexandra Royal Navy Nursing Service in 1997, is moving up the career ladder after a seven-week training course at the Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC).
The 32-year-old former St Augustine's pupil said: "I feel very privileged to be selected for officer training and attending BRNC is a significant milestone in achieving career goals. Promotion brings many more career challenges and opportunities for me."
After training, she worked in the Royal Navy Hospital in Haslar and Gibraltar, specialising in theatre and acute pain nursing. She has since gained an honours degree in health studies from the University of Bournemouth, worked as an instructor in the Defence Medical Services Training Group and completed an operational tour in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, as a theatre nurse.
