REDDITCH said thank you on Saturday (June 30) as crowds gathered at the town centre to pay tribute to past and present members of the armed forces.

The annual Armed Forces Day parade and service saw veterans, serving members, the Royal British Legion, councillors and residents pay tribute to the work done by the forces.

RBL standard bearer Sheila Boyd said: "We would like to thank everyone who turned out and those who helped at the event.

"It's getting to be a very well-attended event and we hope as the years go on more people will turn out and support it.

"It was great to see how many people did come and hopefully they all enjoyed it."
