Hi: 14° Lo:3° 7 day

TWO MEN armed with a chisel robbed Redditch's Blockbuster store at around 11am on Tuesday morning (July 3), escaping with a quantity of cash.
The pair, who were both black and had their faces covered with scarves, entered the shop on the Trafford Retail Park, forcing customers and staff members into a back room.
The employees were then ordered to open the safe and the robbers fled with the money in a red Peugeot 307, which was waiting outside and had the registration SB55 VCL.
The car was later found, abandoned in Northfield.
Det Sgt Adam Hartwright of Redditch CID said investigating officers urgently wanted to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw the red Peugeot before or after the robbery.
"We believe there would have been many people on and around the retail park when this happened and they may well have seen the offenders going to Blockbuster or leaving afterwards."
Anyone with any information should call DS Hartwright on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
