THOUSANDS of people are expected to descend on Feckenham as the village hosts the biggest event in its calendar.
Feckenham Wake takes place on Saturday, June 23 and will feature a performance by Arrow Valley Brass Band, family sports, craft stalls and a hog roast.
Other attractions include Feckenham Food Festival, organised by the Village Shop, and a classic car event back by popular demand at the event which is expected to see crowds of up to 2,000 attending.
Organiser Marion Chute said: “Last year saw a variety of really interesting British motors. This year we are expecting up to 40 cars including non British makes and 1980s British muscle cars.
“There will also be the opportunity to be taken for a drive in cars such as a DeLorean or a Jaguar Mk2 in return for a modest £5 contribution.”
Members of the Worcestershire Brain Tumour Support Group will also be on hand with information about services they provide for those affected by tumours in conjunction with Hammer Out.
The organisation, set up by Feckenham residents Rosemary and John Wormington following the death of their ten-year-old daughter Frances in 2007, will have a stall, face painting and crafts on offer for visitors.
