STAFF at HMP Hewell are under investigation after allegations of criminal behaviour.
Two workers at the Hewell Lane prison, not employed by the Prison Service, have been excluded and West Mercia Police confirmed a woman from Bromsgrove has been arrested in collection with the alleged theft of a prescription pad.
She is currently on police bail until August 10 pending further inquiries. A second woman voluntarily attended a police station for an interview and inquiries are still ongoing.
A third member of staff from the prison has been suspended pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
