A BODY thought to be a Redditch missing man has been found in woodland.

Formal identification is due to take place today (Thursday) after the body was found last night at 8pm near Coopers Hill, close to where Thomas Ryan's car was found abandoned on the M42.

The 25-year-old was reported missing about 3pm on Tuesday (June 5) by his parents after he failed to return home. By then, his car had already been found by motorway police between junctions 1 and 2 of the motorway.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and is not thought to be suspicious. The coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination will take place.
