Teaming up for charity

STAFF at Debenhams have teamed up to raise money for a leading cancer charity following the death of Arrow Vale teacher Rhett Butler.

The gala evening on Tuesday (May 22) at the Kingfisher Centre store will see donations going to Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of Mr Butler who died aged 38 at the end of April after a battle with the disease.

Councillors Juliet Brunner and Gay Hopkins, who are both governors at the school where Mr Butler was a student before returning as a music teacher, will also be attending,

Raffle tickets will be available from 6pm to 9pm, with a cosmetics basket for the winner. Other offers will also include ten per cent off all purchases, VIP appointments available, a free goody bag with every appointment booked on the night and £5 of club points with every £40 purchase.

Tickets costing £4 (redeemable against a purchase) are available on any cosmetics counter. Raffle tickets will also be sold throughout the Summer Spectacular Week which runs from May 22 to 26.
