THE DEDICATION of a town martial arts enthusiast has been rewarded by him successfully passing his black belt grading.
Redditch Tigers member Tom Barber has trained with the club for more than four years now and recently has been training three times a week over the past three months to ensure he was ready for his black belt grading.
This commitment reaped its rewards at the recent TAGB (Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain) black belt grading.
Tom's instructor Mark Clews, who travelled to Bristol with him, watched his faultless display, which, in his opinion, was among the top six students on the day.
Tom is thrilled with this award and he definitely deserves his success, whilst his parents Lisa and Dave are very proud of Tom's achievement.
Redditch Tigers now has six black belts and more than 100 students training at three different sessions a week, with ages ranging from four to adult.
Anyone interested in any information regarding the club can contact Helen on 07794 122207 or visit www.redditchtigers.co.uk.
