THERE were some unusual sights on the roads around Redditch this week.
Those who witnessed the Batmobile pulling out of Weights Lane on Wednesday morning followed by a clown car, giant hearse and unusual looking paramedic car amongst others could be forgiven for thinking they were seeing things.
But it was in fact a group of residents and businessmen from Redditch, Hanbury and Bromsgrove setting off on The Crumball Rally.
The 18-strong group have bought budget cars worth no more than £200 and decorated them in an array of styles before donning appropriate fancy dress and setting off across Europe.
They aim to be in Monaco on Sunday (May 13) in time for the Monaco Historic GP.
When they arrive the cars will be sold to tourists or backpackers to use on their travels or be recycled.
The group is taking part in the event as part of Ed Terry’s stag do and was the brainchild of his best man Adam Wood.
