A MAN in his 20s was left with serious injuries after his car crashed into a tree near Morrisons.
He was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with a suspected head injury following the collision shortly before 8pm on Wednesday (May 9) on Clearwell Road.
Four rapid response vehicles, an ambulance crew and the Warwickshire and Northampton Air Ambulance attended the scene as well as a passing off-duty nurse who stopped to help.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "He was anaesthetised at the scene and his airway maintained and was taken by ambulance, accompanied by a BASICS emergency doctor, to hospital."
