FUGITIVE John Anslow, who was sprung from a prison van in Tardebigge, is number one in a most wanted rogues gallery published by West Midlands Police.
Anslow, who is from Tipton, was on remand at HMP Hewell after being charged with the murder of Richard Deakin in Chasetown, Staffordshire, in July 2010. Four other men have also been charged with murder.
Anslow was en-route to a court appearance from the jail on January 23 when the prison van he was in was ambushed in Hewell Lane.
The most wanted section of the West Midlands Police website can be found at www.west-midlands.police.uk/wanted and will also be featured on billboard posters.
Det Supt Wayne Jones, from Staffordshire Police which is leading the investigation to trace Anslow, said about 100 calls had been made to the incident room with information indicating he may be in various places in the UK, including the West Midlands, as well as in foreign locations such as Spain.
A reward of £10,000 remains on offer for anyone who provides information leading to Anslow’s arrest and return to prison.
Anyone with any information should call 01785 232503 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A man remains on bail in relation to the incident.
