Call leads to cannabis discovery

A MAN and a woman have been arrested after cannabis plants were found growing in a bedroom in Batchley.

In total 25 plants were seized by officers along with equipment used for cultivating them. Police had initially visited the property in Hazel Road to a report of a disturbance at the about 7.30am last Wednesday (April 11).

A man and a woman were both arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and taken to Redditch Police Station. After questioning they were released on police bail until Thursday, May 23 pending further enquiries.
