A DISUSED Redditch night spot is set to be turned into a new cocktail and vodka bar.
The former Bar 98 site in Alcester Street has been taken over by the group which already runs the town's Fever and Club Moo Moo nightclubs.
It will be transformed into a new bar called Republica and as well as serving drinks will also have music from top DJs.
The venture is the first in a new brand for the group which is being piloted in Redditch with a view to rolling it out to other locations in the future.
Operations director Jimmy Elias said: "It's a new concept for us and something a bit different that will add a bit of diversity to what is already on offer and hopefully help keep people in Redditch and stop them going to other towns.
"We just love Redditch. We launched Fever three years ago and the response we have got from day one has been phenomenal."
An official launch date has yet to be confirmed but it is hoped it will be open sometime in May.
