Bus driver attacked

A BUS driver was punched in the head ten times during an assault at Redditch Bus Station.

The incident happened between 6.40pm and 6.50pm last Thursday (March 15) when the offender approached the driver, a man in his 20s, and shouted abuse at him and spat at him.

There was an altercation and the offender punched the driver repeatedly, causing his glasses to break, before running off. The driver was then taken by relatives to the Alexandra Hospital for treatment for mild concussion and soreness to the back of the head.

The attacker was a white youth in his teens, 5ft 9in tall and of medium build.
