Alleyway cordoned off in Greenlands

AN ALLEYWAY has been cordoned off following an assault in the early hours of Saturday morning (March 24).

Police are investigating an assault on a man which happened between 2am and 6am in the grounds behind Greenlands post office in Studley Road.

The alleyway next to the post office continued to be cordoned off today (Monday) while officers carried out their investigation.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area in the early hours of Saturday morning should contact Detective Inspector Leighton Harding on 0300 333 3000, quoting incident 501-S-250312.

Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
