Bus driver attacked

A BUS driver was punched in the head ten times during an assault at Redditch Bus Station.

The attack happened between 6.40pm and 6.50pm on Thursday (March 15) when the offender approached the driver, a man in his 20s, and shouted abuse at him and spat at him.

There was an altercation and the offender punched the driver repeatedly, causing his glasses to break, before running off. The driver was then taken by relatives to the Alexandra Hospital for treatment for mild concussion and soreness to the back of the head.

The offender was a white youth in his teens, 5ft 9in and of medium build.
