RESIDENTS are being urged to send their personal message of thanks to Her Majesty The Queen for her 60 years of service to the country.
Churches across Redditch will be displaying a special thank you letter from Bishop of Worcester Dr John Inge over the coming weeks, which will also feature space for residents to add their own messages of congratulations and gratitude.
All of the pages will then be gathered together and sent to Her Majesty, who marked her ascension to the throne earlier this month, and will celebrate her Diamond Jubilee in June.
Bishop John said: "The Queen gives us a wonderful example of faithful service inspired by her Christian faith. This initiative offers a great opportunity for people to express their thanks for it and pass on their good wishes to her in this Jubilee year. I hope the people of our churches will spread the word throughout their communities so that as many people as possible sign the letter."
