RESIDENTS are being urged to watch their waste and their waste as part of a new promotional campaign.
To coincide with the re-opening of the revamped £6.5million Abbey Stadium in February, the council’s rubbish lorries have been branded with new artwork encouraging people to try out the refitted Springs gym and swimming pool.
Coun Derek Taylor, responsible for leisure on the council, said: “Residents will love the excellent new facilities at the Abbey Stadium and swimming pool, and what better way to promote them than by using our own highly visible vehicles that will be seen all round the borough as they collect the recycling. Why not take this opportunity to try something new and spring into a more active lifestyle.”
For more information or to ask about membership to Springs call email springs@redditchbc.gov.uk or call 01527 60206.
