LIFE-SAVING equipment has been installed at Trinity High School thanks to the efforts of a Redditch couple.

Robert Underwood and Margaret Prentice have been campaigning on behalf of charity SADS UK for defibrillators in every school in the district since the tragic death of their daughter Charlotte from sudden arrhythmic death syndrome.

Charity founder Anne Jolly said: “Robert and Margaret have been dedicated to raising funds to make life-saving defibrillators available in schools in memory of their daughter Charlotte.

“SADS UK is pleased Trinity will benefit from having a defibrillator on the premises to restart the heart if a pupil or person on the premises suffers a sudden cardiac arrest.”

A spokeswoman for the Easemore Road school said staff had previously raised £163.38 for the charity through Christmas events including a Bake Off and a card appeal.

Arrow Vale has already had a defibrillator installed while NEW College bought one in honour of Charlotte, who was a student there. For more information about the charity e-
