Man robbed on way home from pub

A MAN was robbed as he made his way home after a night out at a Redditch pub.

The 23-year-old was had left the Bramley Cottage pub in Callow Hill on Sunday (January 22) and was on his way home when he was pushed from behind in Yvonne Road.

As he fell, he hit his face on a nearby post box and turned around to see two men.

One of the men started searching through his pockets and took his wallet and keys.

There was a brief altercation between one of the men and the victim before the attackers ran off, throwing the wallet.

The attack happened between 12.30am and 1.15am and the keys have since been found in a nearby field.

One of the robbers is described as white and the other is black, both are thought to be in their 20s, and both were wearing grey hooded tops and tracksuit bottoms.

The victim was in shock and went to the Alexandra Hospital to be treated for bruising below his right eye, leaving a short while later.
