New look for Fuse nightclub
25 November. Updated: 25 November 10:15
FUSE nightclub is set to be rebranded in a £500,000 makeover after being taken over by the owners of another Redditch nightspot.
The Standard reported three weeks ago how the Church Road venue had closed after clubbing company Luminar went into administration.
But the building has now been taken over by the owners of existing Market Place club Bar Fever and will be renamed Club Moo Moo after being refurbished in the New Year.
Before the rebranding, it is set to open as Fuse for the next six Saturdays leading up to Christmas, including tomorrow night (November 26).
Fever's operations director Jimmy Elias said: "We have taken over Fuse and will be opening it back up this Saturday and speaking to all the former employees, giving them the first chance to have one of the 15 jobs we have on offer.
"To start off we will be opening just on Saturdays until New Year's Eve and then we're investing around half a million pounds on a refurbishment and renaming it Club Moo Moo which is a nightclub concept we currently have in towns including Cheltenham and Sutton Coldfield.
"At the moment, subject to everything going smoothly we should be open mid-February with double the staff as a cool and sexy nightclub brand playing up to date music.
"We've had a really positive response as a lot of people do miss Fuse and the younger nightclub audience are not coming to town. We're hoping when Club Moo Moo opens people will plan a night out in Redditch rather than go to other towns."
