A GO Green evening helped raise awareness of environmental issues and the plight of the Redditch Youth House.
As well as watching two films about consumerism and green solutions, visitors were invited to sign a petition to keep the Ipsley Street venue.
Transition Redditch chair Kath Manning said: "It was a great opportunity to see what is available at the youth house and to enjoy local, organic and fair trade refreshments.
"People said the evening had made them think about humans' impact on the environment and encouraged them to try and think about how what they did affected things. They were also very impressed with the youth house, saying it should remain available.
"There are already over 50 signatures on our petition to keep the Redditch Youth House but many more are needed. We are also asking people to contact their county councillors who will be involved in making the decision about the future of the building and other youth service buildings in Worcestershire."
Visit www.transitionredditch.org.uk to sign the petition.
