STUDLEY boss Lee Adams says he is pleased with his side’s progress after his first full Midland Alliance campaign.
The Bees narrowly escaped relegation last season and this year Adams has steered his charges to 13th, nearly cracking the top eight.
However, Adams is already looking to improve next season and hopes to bolster his squad.
“If we had finished in the top eight it does not give us much room to manoeuvre and do better next season,” Adams told The Standard.
“It would be nice to do better than that but it gives us room to improve again and get into the top eight.
“It would not be a massive improvement but it would be slow and sure. It is about building foundations so we can move on again.”
Studley were two points off eighth and tied with two other teams on 59 points but had a poorer goal difference.
Adams took Studley to the Midland Alliance League Cup quarter-finals and FA Vase fourth round proper where they lost to finalists Kirkham and Wesham.
