A REDDITCH supplier of lighting equipment has ensured a local football team looked the part this season.
Beoley Village Football Club has been sporting a new kit and training jackets after attracting sponsorship from Ianiro UK, which supplies high-quality lighting, and camera and lighting support systems to the film, television, corporate and educational markets.
Beoley Village, which plays in Division Four of the Redditch and South Warwickshire Combination League, is gunning for promotion after winning the Divisional Cup in 2007. It is already in the final of this year’s Divisional Cup and, with five games in hand, hopes to end the season on a high note.
Manager Mike Knights said: “Ianiro UK’s sponsorship has made a huge difference to the club.
“Our new Puma kit is fantastic and we’re all very proud to carry the Libec logo, which is one of the equipment brands Ianiro UK distributes.
“We may not be generating TV coverage yet, but at least we’re being supported by a company in the broadcast industry.”
The sponsorship deal was instigated by Beoley Village’s right back, Dave Morris, who works for Ianiro UK as an order administrator.
Nick Allen-Miles, the company’s managing director, said: “Thanks to Dave, we’ve been following Beoley Village’s progress for a couple of seasons and occasionally go to see them play.
“As they are doing so well we thought they could use a more professional look, so we were delighted to step in as a kit sponsor.”
Established four years ago, Ianiro UK recently moved to new premises at Manorside Industrial Estate where is has set up a permanent demonstration facility and showroom.
