  • Cafe is a whole load of fun

    Lianne Cooper

    25 April 2008

FAMILIES looking to enjoy activities together are being reminded fun is on their doorstep with a ceramic cafe in Studley.
After a recent breakfast show mentioned families were spending more time on activities they could do together, highlighting a pottery cafe in Bournemouth, the owner of a similar business in Studley has stepped forward to let residents know what there is on offer.
The Potting Shed, based at Spernal Ash Nursery, gives residents the opportunity to paint and create pictures, patterns, handprints and footprints on Bisque that will be a keepsake forever.
Open for over two years now, the cafe has worked with a variety of groups in including brownies, school children and the elderly.
Owner Lindsay Bewley said she came up with the idea after doing similar activities with her own children on holiday.
"We had so much fun doing the ceramic activities that I decided to get trained up and set up my own place," she said.
"Not many people know we are here but we do parties, group events and various projects."
