THE REDDITCH Arrows will hope to improve on last season’s Northern Conference semi-final defeat to West Coast Trojans when the 2008 campaign kicks off on Sunday.
The Arrows travel to the Yorkshire Rams in their season opener looking for a better outcome after strengthening behind the scenes with a number of new additions.
The club has recruited Paul Williams, Mark Williams and Colin Nash from Premier Division outfit Birmingham Bulls and Head Coach Ian Hill is pleased with the new recruits.
“There is no doubt that the coaching set up is as good as anywhere in the country,” Hill said.
“All of the team have greatly benefited from the impact that the new coaches have brought and we look forward to seeing this continue onto game days.”
Redditch will compete against the Rams, West Coast, South Yorkshire Mustangs, Dundee Hurricanes and Staffordshire Surge in the Northern Conference of the British American Football League Division One.
With the majority of last year’s squad retained, Redditch will be hoping to continue their pursuit of championship honours.
