FLAGSHIP East Midlands rural touring theatre company New Perspectives brings its stage adaptation of Richard Benson’s best-selling novel, The Farm, to Droitwich's Norbury Theatre for one day only next Saturday (May 10).
Published to great acclaim in 2005, but increasingly topical as stories of the continued struggle faced by British pork farmers have surfaced in recent weeks, The Farm tells the painful, funny and uplifting story of how big business is changing the face of the English countryside for ever and how one family in particular adapts to the challenges of a new life after being forced to give up their birthright.
New Perspectives, who have been touring new theatre into community venues across the rural East Midlands for over 30 years, are committed to telling stories that are really affecting the lives of individuals and communities in the villages and market towns of the region.
Tickets priced £7 (£6 concessions) for the 7.30pm show are available from www.norburytheatre.co.uk or the box office on 01905 770154 (24-hour booking on 08700 600100).
